Seward/Saline, Nebraska | I'll update, but lessons learned so far: seedbed prep is huge - 1.3 million seeds/lb - tiniest seed I've delt with. This field was aerial applied and rolled once, but since then I started rolling twice after floating it on; the stuff lodges easily (why that half ton is still there) - if it wasn't for a local buyers preference I would have half rated it with something like pearl millet for standability; it soaks up moisture like crazy - we're windrowing, tipping, some stuff tip again, then put together and bale - so dense it's hard to get dry.
