Pigs on dirt should be as healthy as it gets. I don't think the dirt is the problem. How old, how big, where do you get them?
A oft repeated fallacy, there is a reason the first hog producer devised a system to contain both the pig and his feces in a concrete enclosure, and for the most part nobody has looked back.
Raised a lot of hogs on dirt, there is nothing healthier, better, or more environmentally sound about it. |
