A few years ago, a guy pulled into the farm lane beside where I was working in a field. I stopped tractor to see what he wanted. He asked if I was missing a cow, as there was one in the highway nearby. He said that it was brown and white ( mine are black and white), and that it was a "Bull Cow" .
When is a heifer a cow??
