Subject: RE: No record crop in Minnesota

SW WI
Just traveled thru that area yesterday, usual monthly run for meal at Mankato. I was generally surprised how good SE MN looked but just west of Rochester it turns ugly. Corn looks just o.k. With lot of wet spots easily seen.....beans are down right ugly. Claremont area to Mankato.

And having traveled the I-90 corridor to west of Fairmont, within the last week.....that is some great farmland that will be producing disappointing yields this year. I would generalize things by saying it can surprise to the upside in a dry year but excessive moisture.....nope, that land don’t like that.

Don’t know how much this will effect the national yield but I do know these counties do the heavy lifting for a MN state yield. Deere6, will you take my perspective with a grain of salt?

Doesn’t matter to me, just saying how I see conditions.
