Subject: No record crop in Minnesota

Our govenor Dayton has declared 36 counties in Minnesota a state of emergency because of excessive rains.
Heavy down pours have been occurring since the snow melted which took until almost the end of April when we should of been planting. It literally rains every two days. Our county is at 13 inches for the month of June alone. Many county's are way over that. As I type its raining with three days of rain in the forecast and that's after an inch Monday that wasn't needed. It's virtually impossible to raise even good crops with that much rainfall.
Our operation got the first farm of corn mudded in may 18th and the last the day after memorial day. Last year we had the planter unhooked may 20th after planting beans.
Corn is short, yellow and just sick looking. Coops running multiple rigs y dropping 32% on corn that is still waiting on the first pass of nitrogen.
Southern Minnesota typically raises a few bushels and sure helps add to the national average. This year we will be know where near average so you guys in the "good " areas better step it up if the national average will be 180 bpa.
Their are numerous acres that either won't be harvested and many that will not make it to maturity.
There are more guys hoping for the white combine and just calling it a year than guy's looking forward to this fall. Me included
