| They are already chopping some dryland corn out here on the fringe.. some still holding on.. some yellow like September with no ears.
I know it doesn't matter much in the grand scheme.. but broker thinks only about half as normal dryland double crop beanies planted.. golly it was dryer to my East.. like the drought monitor shows.. than I expected.. and for what we are.. were holding on for now but dryland corn getting a silver cast.
Lots of 4 to 6 in tall dryland full season beans.. wow.. ugly.
Lot of acres.. lot of crp going to cow herds.. lot of lower yield potential.. also.. drought isn't over yet.
Coupled with all the irrigated going to cotton.. well there's probably enough carry over dribbling down from north lands.. but once she gets socked away..
Between the yields and the prices.. gonna be some big ra.. claims this fall.. 20 bu beans.. 25% or more looked worse.. kind you not.. 4 to 6 inches tall.. ugly. | |
