7000 btu/lb of corn= 392000 btu/bu

Corn stoves run approx 60-70% efficiency (unless you have one of the incredibly expensive new boiler style) so

392000 x 65% = 254,800

$3.20 NC Bid (using my local bid) / 254800 btu/bu =

=$.00001256/btu for corn

Assuming a decent 90% efficiency propane furnace

92,000 btu/gallon propane x .9 = 82,800 btu

82800 x $.00001256 = $1.04/gallon propane

<$1.04/gal propane, burn propane
>$1.04/gal propane, burn corn

Adjust efficiencies accordingly

EXACTLY what I was looking for, thanks.
