Big oil has had a big influence on the us congress and presidential administrations for generations. You just can't overcome that power oil has over our government. Big oil is doing everything possible to get rid of ethonal, including poisoning the environment with lead,mtbe,and now new dangerous oxegenates, anything to keep market share.
Now with all due respect your above quote is like saying Monsanot or Dupont ,ect. is poisoning the world with ag chemicals and GMO seeds.... My eldest Son works for a major refinery in management and is Chemical Engineer by education , not once has he or any of his co-workers put forth thoughts like yours....And , who owns "big oil" ,its us through our mutual funds,pension funds,banks,ect.... Too say any energy source has no effect on the environment is wrong as solar,wind,ethanol,NG, coal all has a big evironmental footprint. ..... When something is a benefit too us it can cloud the facts |
