Central Iowa, Ellsworth
when the numnuts in town apply there fert with a garden hose and have no N abatement plans why should we knock ourselves out on our dime to prevent what they are dumping into all the drains that go directly into the rivers. I don`t know any farmer that wants to waste there dollars on wasted N. Most everyone I know has raised there yields while decreasing there N use, so I don`t really believe any of these supposed studies, most done by professors wanting grant money. There were many reports of blue baby when the settlers were first here. N leaching in the spring is quite natural no mater what is growing on the ground. KB
