mascoutah, IL | First off had a bad storm here last week. Got struck by lightning and have had numerous electrical issues we are working through. Have water at the house, no issues there but when I went to run my 5 gallon pressure washer this morning it would run dry within a few minutes. After investigating I have found that the pump will cycle fine if running a faucet in the house. If I go outside and turn on a faucet at the well it runs dry in about 30 seconds. That faucet probably pumps 10gpm. Run back in the house and the pressure switch has not kicked in. It is at zero. After about 2 minutes the switch kicks and then works again in the same manner. Took the nipple apart and was full of gunk. Replaced all pieces but the pressure switch and still does the same thing. Should I replace the switch next? Do not believe the well is dry. Has never ran dry here in 40 years no matter how dry it got. | |
