SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass! | I have no answers here but I do have a college classmate who has a gorgeous house and Farmstead on land that his family his own for 200 years. They're selling and moving to town for a fraction of what the place is actually worth because you can't stand to be there due to the smell from hog and chicken confinements that really aren't terribly close to him. the closest one's actually a mile away. I also work all growing up when it's stunk everyday when you drove up and down the road because of the small operations our own included that were spreading manure on a daily basis. I never knew how bad our dairy smell until we quit milking 20 years ago.
back to the case of my college roommate though you talk about taking something from them without compensating them for it it has happened to him and I feel sorry for him not only for the monetary loss but the historical family loss. |
