Here we’ve had a lot of 30 and above weather which wouldn’t be bad but it has been very humid. I find high humidity is what really makes it miserable. I can’t imagine 40-45 temps with high humidity.
Yes . Humidity is certainly a major factor, as is the direct sun... In my little corner clear cloudless skies are more the norm... on the rare occasions when it is 40 C and overcast, I am quite happy... But put me in direct sun in that and my mood deteriorates rapidly...
Imagine if you can, changing bent retractable fingers on a Gleaner harvester head, surrounded by shiny reflective steel and working on a black table auger, which absorbs heat... perfect solar oven!!! But that's all in the past for me.
