| I was a sub for 8 years and a lot of that time I was the only sub for our three routes. One of the regulars had Monday as his day off so I think I worked about every Tuesday after Monday holiday for those years. That regular retired and I have the route now and Mondays are my day off. The postmaster asked me if I could just keep the Mondays off like we had been doing, and I said absolutely, there are quite a few Monday holidays. I think it was the year before last when Christmas and New Year's both fell on Monday that by the time spring got here with Presidents Day, Martin Luther King Day and Columbus Day, and whatever other holiday they can dream up, that year seemed to be every time I turned around it was a Tuesday after a Monday holiday.
