Its already happening in grains. Try selling wheat or milo in Iowa nobody handles it. The coop and grain company mergers  lessen the number of places to sell certain products. I remember dad had used to market fat cattle at the Wichta KS livestock market actuall next door to a packing  plant then in early 1970ssold direct to  packer in  Nebraska and Emporia KS , could get a little better price ,Had 3 buyers come and look finally dwindled to no buyers and we quit feeding cattle by 1990. It can happen in grain also. You see what a mess the cattle market is with a 3 company monolopy.

Nobody handles wheat and milo in Iowa because nobody grows wheat and milo in Iowa. It’s not some conspiracy by the coops.

Nobody buys milo here either, but I grew and sold some. I even know a guy that bought a small slaughterhouse and markets his cattle that way. Not all hope is lost.
