Not only lilac bushes, but a good evergreen wind break helps also. My wife and I bought my grandparents farm, grandpa raised hogs Farrow to finish here for 30 years. They had a good evergreen wind break around the house and farm yard, isolating the confinement finishing building. Was there an odor, yes some but the trees helped a lot. something to look into
