WY, OK | True and everyone is dead that would have been alive to talk about protectionist tariffs around the world that sparked the Great Depression. But it is too easy to sell to your constituents that "they" are hurting you so "we" are going to make them pay. The whole trade imbalance crap is a farce. I have a trade imbalance with every single person I do business with. John Deere and Ford dealer don't buy one of my calves, I don't buy anything from the guy that buys my calves. Both are massive trade imbalances but somehow we all muddle through. Funny how when the gvt. isn't involved it actually is a true free trade system where all benefit. Until the end of the year, of course, when the gvt. steals money from us all. | |
