sw ontario | Ran into local cannery manager and when tariffs came up he said since all the companies that make tin cans have moved to the USA they import them ,so now they pay increased costs of US tariffs on steel as it comes from Canada too make the cans and then as of today they pay a Canadian tariff too import cans from US....Looks like real winner of tariffs is the gov't coffers...fwiw lots of finished generic products they do the can costs more than what is in it | |
