Grandview, TX | I always wear a wide brim hat and long sleeve shirt. The shirt needs to be 100% cotton so it can breath. Once you start sweating and that shirt gets wet, you have a built in swamp cooler with the slightest breeze. On real hot days, I sometimes sprinkle a little water on my shirt collar and wrists. If I can keep the direct sun off bare skin, it's alot more tolerable.
Besides clothing, drink plenty of water and take breaks to cool off every so often. My employee does shake his head at me when I drink a hot cup of coffee everyday at 3:00. I tell him you have to fight fire with fire. | |
