Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa

We spent a couple weeks in AZ a few years ago working on a flip house. Three days straight topped out at 120*. It really wasn't all that bad....kinda like and Iowa winter in reverse. We'd be outside a bit, then where the climate was controlled, then back outside for a while. The thing that got to me was the fact that it didn't cool off at night. I'd have been fine if it had then dropped to the 80s in the evenings when we could sit out on the patio and enjoy it. But no, at 11:30 at nite it was still nearly 100*. That got old quick.

When we go down there in the winter, it's really really easy to spot full-time AZ residents. They're the ones wearing full winter gear....parkas, stocking hats, gloves, scarves....when the temp is below 50*.  The snowbirds are in shorts, flipflops and t-shirts.  LOL!
