| That would basically be the same as selling the board. If one were to have sold a portion of his crop, and got flooded (or hailed out, etc) one can always buy that production back. There is production risk whether you have made sales or not.
There is also about $.15 carry out to next Nov, so one could roll out to next year's crop at a better price. Any descent elevator manager would help facilitate that roll. | |
