Northwest Iowa | Right in my area, it is as bad as I can remember. Maybe 1968 was worse. I was pretty young but remember building a raft for floating out in the field. 1993 was bad but we didn't have as much rain, just rain events that kept you out of the field and no heat. Lots of acres never got planted then. Most got planted in this area. About 2 hours of total sunshine last week. I wonder what the effect of that will be. Just backyard view so no real market maker. Frustrating to say the least. Local townships and counties will hurt as road repair will get expensive. | |
