When I was growing up we never saw rattlesnakes in this area. About 25 years ago, we started seeing a few. In the past 10-15 years, we have killed around 20 here in the yard, on the porch, in the shed and just around the property. You learn to walk looking down and don't just grab something out of a pile.
Building is pushing the rattlesnakes here .
