SE MN | The railroad has to be the most obstinate organization I've ever run into. They seem to make things hard just for spite. That said, they were generally there first and have right of way. If there is an issue with the train blocking the road, complaining to the RR is a waste of time, complain to the road owners and ask that the road be built up to an overpass, that's the only real solution. The only people who get to push the RR around is the army corp. The river was there long before the RR and it has right of way. The army corp is pretty easy to deal with as long as you aren't infringing on the navigation channel. | |
