My hired man, saw heavy combat and is very careful about who he lets know. Sometimes it's because he doesn't want to deal with the memories of the guys "he lost". He doesn't have a lot of tolerance for the guys that never left the safety of a German/Kuwaiti base and brag about being deployed.
The 600# guy in our fire company has every sticker, decal, light, license plate identifying him as a firefighter. He's a show and no go. |
