North of London | A lot of woodlot clearing in Kent county but most counties around here have bylaws about clearing.
Many areas are less than 10% forest cover now and laws have been in place for 30 years or so to prevent more clearing.
Not sure how many realize a woodlot can produce revenue too.
Instead of going to coffee shop all winter a few hours in the woodlot will increase the value of lumber that can be sold for good $$.
You have the advantage in much of Eastern Ontario of areas that will remain in forest no matter what land sells for. | |
