Osakis, MN | Been there done that several times. Take a skilsaw and set the blade at a 45 degrees. Cut as much off the top front as you can without cutting into the area the crown moulding doesn't cover. Save the cutoff and glue it back on with wood glue when you stand it up. You don't have to reattach it if you have enough to nail the moulding to. Cut the toekick off and build a detached toekick box that is the width of the inside of the cabinet and the depth of the old toekick. Don't need geometry, just put a tape measure across the cabinet corner to corner. | |
