I didnt do the math but just wondering if cutting 4" off is enough to get it to fit. Either do math before cutting off the toe kick or tip it up at the angle that makes it the tallest and measure it there.

Another thing you could do instead of cutting the pantry/pantry closet is cut out the drywall between the studs or trusses and gain your height there. Drywall is somewhat cheap and easy to repair if you have talent (which i don't). Might need to do both if it need it.
