Subject: RE: Dairy: Foaming teat dippers

Central, PA
I’m using a flo jet pump from grainger that mixes air and liquid to push teat dip to the parlor. The pump is about $200. This is pulling dip out of a 275 gallon tote and pushing it to the parlor.

In the parlor I’m using a teat dip gun with squeeze handle suspended from the ceiling. 1 gun and hose for double 12.

To make it foam I am adding 4 gallons of liquid soap- like you would use to surface clean pails by hand- per 275 gallon tote.

I know you are technically not supposed to use soap because it’s a surfactant, but it seems to work here.
