When selling at the salebarn 30 miles away the cattle will shrink 3.5-5 percent from farm to barn and sold a couple hours later. Fats will eat 35lbs of feed and drink 10 gallons of water a day. That 115 pounds a day, the goal is to minimize how much of that gets lost.
