Texas/New Mexico Stateline | I've got that exact model. Works great! You can set your minimum and maximum range, and if it goes out of that range it will beep. The freezer is in the garage, and I put the display right on the back door so I will look at it when we go in.
They require the expensive Energizer lithium batteries to get any reasonable life out of them. Regular alkaline won't work very well at 0F.
Highly recommend it.
Edit: saved quite a bit of beef a while back when we had the freezer in the barn and granddad had knocked the plug out of the socket. Noticed it beeping and it was already up to about 28F.
