In the table below are the averages on 2.2 million head of cattle in over 12,000 pens over 14 years.
These differences (especially the difference in finish weight) means you have to pay $8-14/cwt less for heifers. The lighter they are, the more the spread needs to be. Heifers have been a good buy most of this year.
