southern MN | It's funny tho, we really never had a shortage of corn here in the middle of the ethanol production sites. We still railed out corn for export, and all.
Another funny is the dollar took one of the bigger drops in value in our generation, at the same time other countries around the globe had rather healthy economy's, allowing them to import and bid up our corn value and still look 'cheap' to them.
No matter, I'm sure it is entirely the ethanol subsidy's fault that farms are suffering today with below $3 corn. Or, um, that corn was over $8 for a couple days. Or, um, that bread (made from wheat) prices rose a few years ago..... There can only be one scapegoat after all.
