Southern Middle TN | From my small amount of experience, pod count does not mean much. I have had beans at around 110,000 stand with 25 to 50 pods out yield beans with the same stand with 80+ pods. There were some rain differences but it seems to me there are so many variables that can cause pod abortion or small seeds. I not saying that the crop is not out there, just saying it may not be an accurate estimate. | |
