I use a simple formula and the guesstimate bean yield is within about 10% - 20 plants pulled - count pods - ie average per plant is 28 pods x 2.5 beans per pod = 70 beans per plant
70 beans x stand of 142500 = 9,975,000 beans per acre / 3250 beans per pound / 60 lbs per bu = 51.2 bpa usually within 10%.
