North Central Texas | Right now we are looking at 10% of the US crop acres hit hard. The thought on friday was that it would hit, not be so bad, move to the east, and give a good last rain to finish the SE crop. That isn't happening and instead, a million acres are getting hammered. Lots of cotton in a heavy production region was sitting on the gin yard. Lots of warehouses. Most of the I10 and Brazos river area were just into harvest. The affected areas have lots of 1000lb plus production in a state that averages closer to 700lbs. | |
