August has been dry with a little over an inch so far for the month. We had over 8" in July spread out over several rains on the heels of a good June. Would a good soaker put some bushels on corn and beans right now? Probably beans for sure but they are not hurting. I scouted some the other day and there was still damp black dirt above the row.
