Manitoba, Canada | Townspeople still don't want to farm, in general. They don't want to be the ones in the field watching campers drive by on the weekends. They don't want the risks we take either. However, the relatively good times in the previous several years that doubled the farmers equity didn't go unnoticed by them either. I have a feeling that the long term repercussions will be a much lower concern for any hardships we face in the future. We are now all regarded as wealthy. Probably because we are generally asset rich comparing to the general masses and those assets are very visible to them. | |
