As long as it is paid for it does not really mater what it cost. 160 acres at $6250 is only a million.

If you own 4 quarters and buy a fifth that is $1250 an acre. Would you buy land for $1250?

I would say it is somewhat different then the 80's because land is now in stronger hands. There aren't going to be many forced sales.

I bet the cost to have a baby has out passed land cost over the last 100 years. People are still have kids.
No it's not. It's still $6250 acre. If you didn't pay cash for it, You equity financed it, and you then get the priveledge of paying the million back with interest. What you trying to say is what your current land cost is spread across all your acres and that's not the right way to look at it.
