southern MN | I bought some land next to me for $3500 a tillable acre and got a few acres of wet hay along with for free the spring before crop prices jumped up here a few years ago. I heard dad shaking the ground as he rolled over in the grave while I was writing the check......
Then crop prices went up and up, and boy, that was easy to pay off in the next few years.
It's rare to find that dumb luck; and things can go the other direction just as easy. Law of averages says it will.
