Ever. I don't understand that concept either, as it just isn't done here. Why would you let land set bare, or not farm it? Foriegn concept.

I would think there is a place where it is more profitable to not plant
I don't know where that place/point is. But it seems like we are finding it here. Been a lot of bankruptcy around here the last few years by the young, and older farmers collecting SS and renting to the now bankrupt youth. It feels like musical chairs.
So I was just curious if other places are seeing this. I wondered if there are places bankers are just "done" loaning at this price and cost to grow.
