or if you make the decision to cash rent farmground you assume the risk that someone else will pay more than you think is appropriate. If you can not make money farming than that is just to bad. You should have chosen a different profession to make a living.
Lol....think you misread my point....I guess when grain prices went from $2.50-$3.00 the rents and land prices went high.....now we are back to those prices again so why can't land come back to those prices..? Jonas, when fat cattle drop, feeders drop. When fat hogs drop, feeder pigs drop. It's the same with land, it's just taking more time. Sorry I struck a nerve Jonas, was just trying to say land prices aren't justified at these grain prices. If fat cattle go to $50 for 4-5 years will grazing land out west fall in price? I think so... that's my point. |
