Subject: RE: Its time

McLeod County, MN
I just think of all the tile installed around here in the last 5 years. It is a lot easier to make 200+ corn on ground that is well drained than some of the sticky mud holes of the past. I know some of the guys out west and north of me in MN disagree, but this is a great crop coming up here. We dont have a lot of drown out wet spots like years past. Sure there are some fried up hill tops and gravel farms, and some that is behind in maturity. If we get normal frost it will be very big.

My pattern tiling from last fall probably gained me 50 BPA over what it would have been if it wasnt tiled. If I would have got pummeled with hail it may have been close to 70 BPA. Point being is that even though some guys with 230-250 last few years might only have 210-220 this year, but all of those other improved acres vastly help the average.
