Nebraska aka the boondocks | I would like the weighted average to see also. Look at Iowa and Illinois, well below last year and they have the most weighted acres. I would disagree that Nebraska, the number three in production is "better" than last year. People talk about Greensnap and other issues last year in nebraskas irrigated corn. Well there wasn't much hail last year either. There has been a fair amount this year. I don't k ow of any dryland corn in Nebraska that suffered a whole lot last year, not true this year. The argument that all these other states that produce .7% each of production can carry the weight, seems like a stretch. I would think people would be very happy with the corn number, over a bushel less than I thought and I am pretty sour. |
