Sw. Ill | Well it didnt pay much to store and sell cash this year, maybe next year will be different? Idk i sold all my corn last feb when local price hit 3.62 and it never went higher after that. I got lucky, i needed money and couldnt hold any longer. Was a lot better than getting 3.07 off the combine. I think if your realistic with your target price storing could pay. I wouldnt hold out for much over $4 though.
If the corn wont dry and you need to harvest i wouldnt risk putting wet corn in a bin without air. If it dries down good then go for it, but if this cool weather contiues i bet the corn stays pretty wet.
