	They missed a lot of rain. We drove around NW IA along time couple weeks back it wasn't good. But as soon as I said that someone who lived there told me I was wrong. All I know is Spencer to around Early looked awful. Get closer to SD border it looked better. Fonda north to Emmetsburg was bad, 71 to 59 corridor was real spotty. Finally got some rain the other day but so much damage had already been done. County average could easily be 75bu less than last year.

This is a graph of rainfall from Climate.

Here is a field that USDA is sampling this summer.  This farm is about 2 miles Northwest of Pocahontas.  This field has been continuous corn for 6 years.
