Those maps for western MN are never good.  They can give an indication roughly but we weren't in the drought area until this week. Well, we have had more precip this week than we did all of July and late June combined (2.2" this week)  Now I am in a drought since we finally got moisture.  Go figure!  Haha.

Me thinks it's mostly based on radar indicated rainfall which, around here, is totally inaccurate.  IT was yellow over our house with a rather large cell and not one DROP fell.  Oh well.
