it likely won't be less expensive later, to gamble on that is speculation.
When the market is inverted, one can expect a lower price at a later time.
If it likely to be higher later why sell now? I understand the carry principal, actually use it a lot. My point is by selling early are you really removing risk? If selling 100 percent no you are not, you're just transferring it to the other side. I like to be no more than 30 to 50 percent sold before harvest for this reason. Luckily I was under sold this year and was able to get out of those positions with a profit. |
