The ears on the right are from my field. Ears on the left were planted about 5 days later. Only other difference that I can comment on is that I no till and the other field is full width tillage. I don't know hybrid or fertilizer program of neighboring field. From the road you cannot tell the difference between these two fields.

30" rows with a final stand count of 33000 on my corn. Just using kernel county times a factor of .367 to estimate yields. Kernel counts are showing much higher yields than my estimates. My best field still shows a yield potential close to 300 bu per acre by this method so I have made some adjustments to factor in what I think is realistic. All of my corn is still in early milk and their are corn fields in my area that just pollinated last week. My estimates could be off by a lot come harvest depending on the weather for the next two weeks.
