PE. - 8/6/2017 15:06 "Here" cool temps mean late, wet, low TW corn. Noticed recent threads rejoicing in recent cool down, is that an Iowa thing or central Illinois? Here cool summers like 2004 and 2009 were wet, light corn and 2012 was a record high yield until 2015 and 2016 came along.



That's because in 2012 you got rain with your heat and your heat wasn't as bad as our heat.


Same with now, you're getting rain, were not.      We still haven't got any rain but the cooler temps have slowed the deterioration of this moisture stressed crop considerably.
