Some of the drought area receiving a little relief. Thus drought map and changes released July 11 are no longer valid. Wondering why the Drought Monitor map can not be updated daily if not hourly? That have the tools (rainfall, top and subsoil info, daily high low -temp. past historical weather yield data, etc) in the box....just need to use them daily not weekly. Like to have more level planning field regarding weather-yield information with the big players in market.

Is any one aware of site that post unto date drought-yield maps taken into account hourly-daily rainfall with top-subsoil moisture.
Enjoy grower field updates.. but no way to quantify... thus not real useful in marketing.

I believe commodity funds and large commercials are using real-time weather data to help make decisions trade..

Growers like myself are making decision that are not based on accurate information. Not sure if I am making decisions in the dark... but definitely in dim light.

Looking for better-current information on drought-weather...yields.
